Deep Breathing Exercise  ( Nei-Yung Kung )

An exercise corresponding with abdominal breathing technique

  • Position:
    • Lay on a flat surface
    • Bend both knees, or use a pillow to support knees to relieve the
    • Gently cover the abdomen with palms
  • Breathing exercise
    • Exhale slowly until lower abdomen is shaped inward, count silently from 1 to 5.
    • Inhale slowly until lower abdomen is shaped outward, Count silently from 1 to 5.
    • Hold breath, count silently from 1 to 5.
    • Repeat step 1 to step 3 for about 10 minutes

Deep Breathing Exercise is a very gentle exercise suitable for the seniors and patients to practice
